Venezuelan violinist, SIUL ALEJANDRO ANGEL PRADO was born in 2001 in Caracas, Venezuela, andbegan studying violin at the age of six in the renowned music program El Sistema, founded by Maestro José Antonio Abreu. He went on to study with Carlos Vergas and took masterclasses with Alexis Cárdenas andThibault Vieux. In 2013, he joined the National Children’s Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, touringAustria and performing at the Salzburg Festival under Sir Simon Rattle.

He later became a member of the Teresa Carreño Symphony Orchestra and, in 2018, toured Vienna with theNational Youth Orchestra of Venezuela, performing at the United Nations, the Instituto Cervantes, and theUniversity of Music and Performing Arts Graz. That same year, he joined the firstviolinsectionof theSimónBolívar SymphonyOrchestra of Venezuela (SBSOV).

With the SBSOV, he has performed in major venues including the Paul VI Audience Hall in Rome, ZaryadyeConcert Hall in Moscow, Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, and the Peralada Festival with the MahlerChamber Orchestra under Gustavo Dudamel. Since 2023, he has served as Assistant Concertmaster of theSBSOV and has played prominent solo passages in works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, andGershwin.

In 2023, he performed at the Edinburgh Festival and joined the SBSOV on tour in China. He has worked withconductors such as Dudamel, Vásquez, Eschenbach, and Salemkour. Since 2023, he has been studying at theUniversity of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Professor Sylvia Viertel. He has also participated in theIlumina Festival and performed at the prestigious Kronberg Academy.
