Alice Abram

Alice Abram is an Israeli cellist and passionate chamber musician who has performed as both soloist and ensemble player across Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. She has taken part in renowned courses and festivals such as the Perlman Music Program, Moritzburg Festival Academy, Thy Chamber Music Festival, Encuentro de Música y Academia Santander, Verão Clássico, Musethica, and the David Goldman Program.

Alice studied with Zvi Plesser, Luba Rabin, and Ella Toovy and subsequently with Rebecca Gilliver, principal cellist of the London Symphony Orchestra at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She has participated in masterclasses with leading artists including Leonid Gorokhov, Jérôme Pernoo, Steven Doane, Gary Hoffman, and Frans Helmerson, as well as members of the Nash Ensemble and the Doric, Elias, Juilliard, Jerusalem, Heath, Artemis, Takács, and Endellion Quartets. She has also collaborated with distinguished musicians such as Thomas Riebl, Daniel Blumenthal, Annette von Hehn, Tony Nys, Milana Chernyavska, Jakub Haufa, and Avri Levitan.

An experienced orchestral performer, Alice has appeared with the Israel Philharmonic, Fidelio Orchestra, Israel Camerata Jerusalem, Ra’anana Symphonette, and the Young Israeli Philharmonic.

Since 2016, she has been a recipient of awards from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) and has received additional support from the Susanne Beer Cello Corner Foundation, William Barry, Albert Cooper, and Chizel Educational Trusts. She is the current recipient of the Allen Ford Scholarship in London.
