American violist DEANNA PETRE enjoys an international career, reaching audiences all over the world. Passionate about chamber music, Deanna has performed at the inaugural ClasClas International Music Festival in Spain, and in numerous series in France, the Netherlands, and the United States. In Paris, Deanna frequently performs with the Orchestre National d’Ile de France and the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris amongst others, and has appeared as guest principal viola with the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne and in contemporary music with the Ensemble Cairn. In the United States Deanna has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Lakes Area Music Festival, the Artosphere Festival Orchestra and in Asia with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the educational field, Deanna has performed throughout Europe for the « Juilliard Global Ventures », where she has made a significant impact on young audiences through interactive performances and master classes. She has performed in Switzerland, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and the Czech Republic.
Deanna Petre is a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, The Juilliard School, and the Cleveland Institute of Music. In Paris she was the recipient of the Harriet Hale Woolley Grant from the United States Foundation.
