Cellist, TADEUSZ WAWROWSKI was born in Warsaw. In 2023, he graduated with honours from the Zenon Brzewski General Music High School in Warsaw, in the cello class of Piotr Hausenplas and Stanisław Firlej. Since September 2023, he has been studying in the cello class of Danjulo Ishizaka at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. He has performed in Poland, the United States, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, and Slovakia. He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the Zielona Góra Philharmonic, Sinfonia Iuventus, and Warsaw String Orchestra. He has also performed at many music festivals as a soloist and chamber musician, including “Vitis Music Sphere”, “Musical Spaces”, “EMANACJE”, “Musical Korzkiew”, and “Unavoidable Festival”.

Tadeusz was a scholarship recipient of the National Fund for Children (2019-2023), the “Marian and Zofia Kirsch Foundation” (2023-2024), the “LYRA Foundation” (2023), and participated four times in the prestigious “Morningside Music Bridge” program in Boston (2020-2023), where he performed at Jordan Hall in New England Conservatory. In 2023, he also received the Stuart Holland Award, which is awarded annually to the best participants of the course. He is the laureate of many national and international competitions: First Prize at the “OPUS 2022” International Music Competition in Krakow (2022), Third Prize at the “Vienna Classical Music Academy” International Music Competition in Vienna (2022), First Prize and Special Prize from the Polish Embassy at the 15th International Jan Vychytil Cello Competition in Prague, Czech Republic (2021), Third Prize at the 12th International “Antonio Janigro Junior” Cello Competition in Zagreb, Croatia (2020).

Tadeusz currently plays on an Italian instrument built by Antonio Gibertini in Parma in 1847.
