Daniel Bull

British cellist, DANIEL BULL studied the cello at the Royal Northern College of Music with Eduardo Vassallo and the Royal College of Music with Melissa Phelps, before joining the Orchestra of Opera North (UK) as Principal Cello No.2 in September 2018. He enjoys a wide variety of performing; in the orchestra pit for opera, solo, and as a chamber musician. He has worked with a wide variety of the UK’s leading orchestras and has a particular interest in bringing music to new audiences. He has performed in a wide variety of venues, both formal and informal, from the Barbican to the tunnels under Waterloo station in London, Bristol Cathedral and numerous pubs and bars! He enjoys all kinds of music, loves to cook and once built a canoe with his dad and brother. He plays on a cello by John Betts from 1790 kindly loaned to him by Melissa Phelps.
