Roman Tulchynsky

Originally from the Ukraine, ROMAN TULCHYNSKY began his violin studies at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg with Dan Talpan, moving to the Carl.Ph.E.Bach-Gymnasium in Berlin with Zoya Nevgodovska. He has since been studying at the Universität der Künste Berlin in the class of Peter Rainer.

He has performed as soloist with the Göttinger Symphonie Orchester, the Symphonie Orchester Frankfurt Oder and the C.Ph.E.Bach Symphonie Orchester. In 2019, he won first prize in the  Dussmann Chamber Music Competition and has attended masterclasses with Prof. Boris Garlitsky, Prof. Olga Zolatoreva and Prof. Nora Chastain.

Roman is an enthusiastic chamber and orchestral musician, playing with the Philharmonisches Jugendorchester Berlin and the Kammerakademie Potsdam.

He currently holds scholarships from the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now association as well as the Ad Infinitum Foundation, DAAD and the Lucia-Loeser-Foundation. Since April 2022 he has been employed as an “Akademist“ of the Potsdamer Kammerakademie.
