Norwegian flute-player SIGRID DJØNNE plays as guest principal with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and regularly with many of the other Norwegian orchestras. She has held scholarship and permanent positions with the Norwegian National Opera and Oslo Philharmonic and will soon take up the position as 2nd solo/piccolo in the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra.
Originally from Indre Arna in Bergen, Sigrid studied at the Grieg Academy, Bergen, the Malmö Academy of Music and the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen with Ulla Miilmann, before completing her her masters degree at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover under the guidance of Prof. Anna Dina Björn-Larsen
Sigrid has played as solist with the BIT20 Ensemble, Dragefjellets Musikkorps (Symphonic Band) as well as Bergen Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BFUng)
She is also a member of the flute trio Trio Bris, which in October 2021 won 1st Prize in the 19th Friedrich Kuhlau International Flute Competition in Uelzen, Germany.
Sigrid plays a Muramatsu gold flute.
